Steven Eckroad is a scientist/engineer with a degree in physics and practical expertise in emerging electric power technologies. He is an amateur astronomer and a member of Mensa. Other interests include electro-mechanical tinkering, gardening, nature photography and theology. He loves reading science fiction and watching Star Trek (which is why he gravitates toward “hopeful” science fiction in both his reading and his writing). He has completed four novels, all part of a series: Telpher, Copernicium-296, Archoi, and Remnant. The Telpher, a galactic teleporter operated by trained telepaths plays a prominent part in these novels. The novels feature a progression of heroines who have special gifts.

He is married, has traveled widely, and currently resides in Southern California.
